US Sailing Racing Clinics

JWS Clinic-1 -7729 If you are trying to energize racing at your club with a fresh perspective and your members are interested in learning a new type of sailing from a nationally recognized coach, a US Sailing Racing Clinic is the right fit for your sailing organization... This is what you need to know:

US Sailing Racing Clinics are intended to improve sailors’ racing skills and assist sailing organizations with quality instruction.
Clinics are available for adults and juniors and for fleet and team racing, including a learn to umpire clinic. These are not learn to sail clinics. Participants are expected to be familiar with tacking, gybing, some spinnaker skills, and capable of managing a boat in up to 20 knots. .

To keep learning levels high, US Sailing maintains a ratio of no more than 15 sailors to one coach. US Sailing will contract US Sailing Level 3 coaches and provide them with a small travel stipend. US Sailing will also give you tools to promote the clinics.

US Sailing will provide participants with materials for each clinic and you will get a complete clinic upon the arrival of the instructor!

Hosts are required to pay a flat fee depending on the clinic size and can set their own entry fee for their members.
