US Sailing Racing Clinics are open to both members and non-member organizations. Hosts pay US Sailing a flat fee and are free to set an entry fee of their choice to clinic participants. The fee varies with membership level with member partners enjoying a substantial discount.These are not learn to sail clinics. Participants are expected to be familiar with tacking, gybing, some spinnaker skills, and capable of managing a boat in up to 20 knots.To keep learning levels high, US Sailing maintains a ratio of no higher than 15 sailors to one coach. US Sailing will contract US Sailing Level 3 coach(es) and provide them with a small travel stipend. Hosts will provide a boat and housing if necessary for the coach and cover any additional travel costs For the participants, US Sailing will provide materials for each clinic (see attached sample curriculum and materials list). In other words, you will get a complete clinic upon the arrival of the instructor!
If a host has a US Sailing Certified Level 3 instructor it wishes to hire, please provide their name and contact information on the form below. Preference will be given to local Level 2 instructors to keep costs low but if a host has another certified instructor it would like to use, please let us know. Note: Level 3 instructors come with $10 million in insurance coverage and are backed by US Sailing.
