Selection Process
Invitations to the U.S. Youth Multihull Championship are distributed as follows:
Resume Applicants must provide the information outline in How to Apply. Resume Applications will be reviewed by a panel consisting of the Chair of the Committee and selected members of the U.S. Multihull Championship Committee. Each member of the Panel will rate the application according to the following criteria:
- Results in five major events over the past four years - any fleet
- Previous U.S. Youth Multihull Championships attended
- Number of Multihull regattas attended
- Previous Results in U.S. Youth Multihull Championship
- Impact on Event
- Corinthian Spirit
- Relevance to host class
If two Resume Applicants compete in the same event, the one with the best finish shall be ranked higher than the other one. If two or more applicants sailed in two or more of the same events, then the one beating the other one more times shall be ranked higher. If each beat the other the same number of times, then the one with the lowest sum of positions for those events shall be ranked higher.
Competitors who applied for the 2010 U.S. Youth Mulithull Championship will get first priority if eligible. Up to 16 invitations to compete will be issued.

Should get a berth regardless of the qualifications of other applicants score 90-100
Expected to be very competitive in the Finals finishing in the top half of the fleet score 80-89
Expected to be competitive in the Finals, but might end up in the bottom half of the fleet score 70-79
May not be competitive in the fleet at the finals. Should only be considered for a berth if the fleet is not filled with A, B, C applicants. score 60-69
Will clearly not be competitive at the Finals and should not be awarded a Berth score 0-59
The points awarded by each Panel member for each for each application shall be averaged.
Applicants will be ranked in order of the average points for each application.
